Publication Ethics
Ekonomica Sharia: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Pengembangan Ekonomi Syariah is a journal that aims to become a leading peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of information. We issue original research papers, review articles, and case studies submitted in Islamic banking, sharia economics, sharia business and sharia management that have not been discussed elsewhere in any language nor are they reviewed for publication anywhere. This following statement clarifies ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal.
Duties of Editors
1. The editor is responsible for deciding which articles to publish and may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision
2. The editors in evaluating the incoming texts without distinction from race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship and political inclination of the author
3. The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
4. The editor is not entitled to use any unpublished manuscript without the author's written consent
Duties of Reviewers
1. Reviewers contribute to assisting editors in making editorial decisions and can help authors improve papers
2. Reviewers who are unable to review a text must notify the editor
3. Reviewers must not show, discuss with others each text received for review.
4. Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate5. reviewers may not have a conflict of interest with the author for any reason
Duties of Authors
1. Authors should present an accurate account of the original research performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Researchers should present their results honestly and without falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.
2. Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work. The manuscript should not be submitted concurrently to more than one publication unless the editors have agreed to co-publication.
3. Authors may not publish manuscripts which basically describe the same research in more than one journal or send the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
4. Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
5. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
6. All authors should clearly disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
7. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the authors obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
